The Department of Nuclear Medicine is a special diagnostic unit of the hospital that performs both imaging procedures as well as radioimmunoassay blood tests. The department boasts of the following machines: Automatic Gamma well counter (PACKARD), Siemens Dual Head Gamma Camera (Siemens, E-Cam), W DXA (Hologic) Bone Densitometer, digital Captus 700t Thyroid Uptake System, Treadmill machine, Norav Stress Test system w/TMX-428, Model 1200W, Gamma Well Counter Dream Gamma 10 and the Siemens xSPECT Intevo 16, the newest and most advanced gamma camera w/ SPECT-CT. It is the very first Advanced Hybrid Imager SPECT-CT in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia. With the newer Gamma Well counter, we have more running days of radioimmunoassay blood examinations, with on-the-day availability of results. The department’s competent, caring and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Physicians and Nuclear Medicine Technologists render quality, yet affordable health care services. Nuclear Medicine procedures can be divided into three major categories: imaging or scan procedures (quantitative, non-quantitative and by Hybrid SPECT-CT); radioimmunoassay; and radionuclide therapy.
